Edward M. Wilson

U.S. Veteran

Raritan Township, NJ - Edward M. Wilson was born in North Branch Station, NJ and passed away peacefully in his home on April 25, 2012.

He was the proud father of a son, Scott E. Wilson and a daughter, Sharon A. Ohlinger, brother to Margaret Wilson, Mabel Van Vandt and Evelyn Kopf and had eight grandchildren.

He leaves behind his wonderful and loving wife, Jenny (Fasulo) Wilson, of over twenty-three years of marriage.

Edward joined the Carpenters Local 455 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America on November 12, 1959. He held a Gold Life Membership Card for fifty years of service.

He worked as a carpenter with his father under the business name of C.H. Wilson and Son for many years. After his father’s retirement, he worked out of the Union Hall for many years, retiring in the year 2000.

He served in the New Jersey National Guard for six years being Honorably Discharged in February of 1963 as a Sergeant.

He served as President of the Neshanic Fur and Feather Gun Club for several years.

He served on the Board of Deacons, the Board of Trustees and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years in the Hillsborough Baptist Church. He also worked with a boy’s group known as Christian Service Brigade. He later proudly converted to Catholicism and was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.

His hobbies and interest were camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, jogging, psychology, art appreciation, astronomy and bird watching.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, Three Bridges, NJ.
